Major Update: Hanger Becomes a Game (Shop, Level Unlock, and More!)
This weekend, I have the pleasure of announcing that Hanger VR is now an actual game! This newest update added new levels, collectible coins, and an upgrades system that allows you to grapple farther and adjust your air velocity more.
This update also adds several new levels, including levels designed in Tilt Brush by renowned artist Danny Bittman (used under the CC-BY license). In the future, I see these huge, atmospheric levels becoming a major part of Hanger VR's design.
Lastly, there is also a number of polish updates: the gun model has been adjusted and looks vastly better, and the neon lines on it will now change color depending on whether you're connected to something or not. The gun also has new controls, suggested by playtesters, and the new controls are much more intuitive and natural.
Additional changes: Instead of being unlocked by default, levels are now unlocked in order until you reach Level 5 and then all of the prototype levels are unlocked. There are some experimental turrets, but these will require more polishing before they're ready.
In the coming weeks, I will polish the game for its winter release. The mechanics are 90% done, so the main issue will be aesthetics and additional levels, plus leaderboards.
